NYC Heat Regulations
Here's a little something to keep away the cold. The New York City heating season runs from October 1 through May 31. During those months building owners must provide tenants with heat as follows:
- From 6 AM - 10 PM: If the outdoor temperature falls below 55 degrees the temperature indoors is required to be at least 68 degrees.
- From 10 PM - 6 AM: If the outdoor temperature falls below 40 degrees the temperature indoors must be at least 55 degrees.
