How Much Water Does Your Body Need?
Our needs for water vary depending on the climate we live in, health factors and our level of activity. Here are some universal notes from the Mayo Clinic site.
Water
Flushes toxins from the organs in our body
Transports nutrients
Keeps nasal passage moist
Prevents dehydration (By the time you feel thirsty it's possible that you are partially dehydrated already.)

Rules of thumb
- The 8 x 8 Rule: Consume 8 - 8 ounce glasses of water or other beverages daily.
- Institute of Medicine: Men should consume 13 - 8 ounce glasses daily; and women 9 - 8 ounce glasses daily.
- Mayo Clinic: Consume enough fluids each day to stay hydrated and produce 6.3 cups or more of colorless or slightly yellow urine.
Can you drink too much?
Definitely. This condition is rare but when the body consumes an excess of water the kidneys cannot process the excess. This dilutes the blood and creates low sodium levels. Source
