Vitamin ZZZ Fights Colds
A new study has found that getting a sufficient amount of sleep is a great defense against the common cold. In a study appearing in the Archives of Internal Medicine researchers paid healthy adults to be infected with cold germs and then compared the results based on the amount of sleep they got.
Habitual eight-hour sleepers were less likely to become infected than adults who sleep less than seven hours. Likewise, sound sleepers were less likely to become infected than adults who suffer from insomnia and restless sleep. Source
