Author E. Lynn Harris Dies at 54

Best selling author E. Lynn Harris passed away this week at the age of 54. The cause of death has not been announced. Harris became ill while on a business trip but afterward seemed to be alright.

In his first novel Invisible Life Harris exposed women to the "down low" lifestyle of men who assume heterosexual lifestyles but secretly have sex with men. His style of writing became popular among black women. To date he has sold eleven titles and 4 million novels. He was known as the "Male Terry McMillan."

E. Lynn Harris was born in Flint, Michigan and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas. He had a successful career in corporate America for over ten years before he became an author. He had just completed a tour for his newest book Basketball Jones. His fans are saddened by the news.
