What Ever Happened to the Pointer Sisters?
Is there anyone who did not love the Pointer Sisters? They have more than one generation of fans beginning with their 1973 hit Yes We Can Can which became President Obama's election campaign theme. Other popular tunes include He's So Fine, Neutron Dance, and Automatic.
The group started out with four sisters but one left to pursue a solo career. June Pointer passed away several years ago. Today Ruth and Anita perform together and Anita's daughter Issa is the third group member. The Pointer Sisters have a busy tour schedule. They just returned from a July 24 performance at the Save the World Awards in Austria.
