What Ever Happened to These MTV VJs?

This is fun. The Daily News took a trip down memory lane and updated us on the MTV VJs. Several are listed in the following bullets. Check the source link for the complete slide show which includes the original VJs: Nina Blackwood, Mark Goodman, Alan Hunter, Martha Quinn and J.J. Jackson.
  • Downtown Julie Brown. Remember the cute black woman with the proper British accent? She joined MTV in 1988 and was the host of Club MTV. After leaving the network she was a correspondent on ESPN and a host on E! TV. She also did a stint on the British version of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!
  • Julie Brown could never be confused with Downtown Julie Brown. She was white with flame-colored hair and had the Valley girl thing down pat. These days you can find her on E! TV. She also co-wrote a movie for the Disney Channel.
  • Ed Lover and Dr. Dre. Remember these guys? They began to host Yo! MTV Raps in 1988. In the nineties they starred in the funniest movie Who's the Man? Today both are radio personalities. Ed Lover hosts the morning show on New York's Power 105.
  • Daisy Fuentes was MTV's first Latina VJ and the host of MTV's House of Style. Today she is a model and has her own clothing line at Kohl's. This year she released Daisy Fuentes Pilates for Nintendo Wii.
  • Bill Bellamy joined MTV in the mid-nineties and introduced videos on MTV Jamz and MTV Beach House. After MTV he starred in quite a few films including Love Jones, How to be a Player and Any Given Sunday. These days he is married with children and keeps a low profile.
