Investigators turned over all evidence to Orange County prosecutors last week related to Laura Garza's 2008 disappearance. They decline to disclose any conclusions drawn from DNA testing, fiber analysis and other procedures.
Laura Garza was last seen with convicted sex offender Michael Mele. He has not been charged in connection with her disappearance; and is currently in prison on an unrelated charge. Mele has an appointment before a state parole board this month.

Laura Garza Forensics Expected this Month (12-10-2009)
December 3 marked the one year anniversary of Laura Garza's disappearance. She had recently moved to New York from Texas, and was last seen leaving a Chelsea night club with convicted sex offender Michael Mele.
Garza's body has not been found but fifty pieces of physical evidence are expected to be filed this month according to the Daily News. The evidence was collected during a search of Mele's home, his SUV and garbage from the dump where his trash would have been taken. Officials hope that the evidence establishes a DNA link between Mele and Garza.
Mele is currently in prison on an unrelated charge. He is up for parole next month. Source
