FREE Cell Phone for Eligible Customers

Virgin Mobile has partnered with Assurance Wireless to provide free cell phones and service to eligible customers. In order to qualify you must meet income guidelines or participate in one of the specified government programs.

Assurance Wireless provides a free cell phone with 200 monthly minutes. There is no contract, no monthly bill and no activation fee. It's FREE. So far the service is only available in New York, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.

If the service is not available in your state SafeLink has a similar program that may service your area. Check the source documents for information about Assurance and SafeLink Wireless.

I didn't have a problem with the so-called "Obama Phone."

It seemed reasonable to give poor people a cheap phone and a few minutes a month.

Go find a job. Go to the doctor. Get the car fixed. Whatever.

But now, Virgin Mobile has a new program that gives poor people 200 minutes a month.

    FREE!

    It's too much!

    What's next? Iphones? Blackberries?

Virgin is using taxpayer money extravagantly.

    Am I wrong?
