How Often Should You Weigh Yourself?

That's a good question. Experts caution against weighing yourself more than once a week because a variety of factors cause weight to fluctuate from day-to-day. A sudden increase could be distressing when you are trying to lose weight.

However, results of more than one study show that people who weigh themselves daily have a greater tendency to lose weight and keep it off.

I weigh myself each and every day when I walk into my gym. I can attest to how much one's weight can fluctuate; I have a range of about 4 pounds! Alot of this has to do with water weight. I sometimes weigh myself when leaving the gym rather than walking in which usually means I will weight more. Why you ask? I usually drink more than a half gallon of water at the gym which is more than I sweat out. Keep an eye on your weight, but don't stress out over a pound or two!
