Rapper Shyne Has a New Life in Jerusalem
The last time we saw Sean Combs' former protege Shyne he had left Riker's Island and was deported to his native Belize. While he was in prison Shyne changed his legal name from Jamaal Barrow to Moses Levi after embracing Orthodox Judaism.
Today Levi lives in Jerusalem where he is devoted to the daily rituals of his religion. He loves Judaism and loves the fact that it places no restrictions on his love for hip-hop. He's preparing for his musical comeback with two CD's that will be released in a joint venture with Def Jam records.
It's uncertain whether Levi will tour in the United States due to his non-citizen felon status here. He is appealing that ruling. No matter what happens we wish him well. Check the source link to read the NY Times feature article. Source
