Paralyzed Ex-Jaguar Richard Collier Undefeated
Two years ago Richard Collier had his NFL career cut short when he became paralyzed from the waist down after being shot fourteen times. Since then he's had fifteen surgeries and one leg had to be amputated. He continues to deal with medical problems but he doesn't let any of that get him down.
In July Collier married Chandra Baker who he was dating when he was shot. He kept his promise to stand at his wedding with the help of an intricate brace that was strapped onto his body. That's the type of person he is.
Collier has taken up to 100 steps in his brace and vows that he will walk again. He lifts weights three days a week at a rehabilitation hospital. He wants to start playing wheelchair basketball.
